STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCH - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

On June 12, 2024, our Prospect Lake families will show our appreciation to all the great staff by throwing them a special lunch.  To ensure we have a successful event, we need everyone’s help!  Sign-up is available HERE

EVENT COORDINATOR OPPORTUNITIES:

1 x Lunch Coordinator: Orders appropriate rental supplies from Victoria Party Supplies (PAC Executive can support with a list – email us at prospectlakepac@gmail.com), picks up supplies and delivers to the school for set up.  The coordinator is on-site at 8:15am on the event day for food drop off.  The coordinator helps with set-up, lunch service, and clean-up, and then returns rental supplies after the event.  

1 x Floral Coordinator: Helps with the organization and creation of table centerpieces.  The floral coordinator is on-site at 8:15am on the event day with buckets of water and assists with floral drop off.  The coordinator, along with two volunteers, will create 12 mason jar floral centerpieces.

LUNCH VOLUNTEER OPTIONS:

We need volunteers to help provide the following menu items:

  • 5 x main dishes - casserole, sandwiches, family favourites, hot / cold, etc.
  • 5 x main dishes - vegetarian / vegan option, hot / cold
  • 6 x side dish - salad, fruit, bread/buns, veggies, etc.
  • 6 x dessert
  • 6 x beverages

Notes for meal volunteers:

  • Food can be dropped off at the school, in the gym, between 8:15 - 11:00am
  • Food containers / trays should be clearly labelled with your family's name or use a recyclable container / tray that we will dispose of
  • Include any notes regarding allergens: dairy / nuts / gluten-free / vegan / etc.
  • Food containers / trays can be picked up, in the gym, at the end of the school day

We need volunteers to help with set-up, lunch service, and clean up:

  • 4 x set-up, 9:00am - 11:00am
  • 4 x lunch service and clean-up, 11:00am - 1:00pm

Notes for set-up, service, and clean-up volunteers:

  • Allow yourself enough time to park – upper lot or street parking.
  • Masking is not required; personal choices will be respected.

FLORAL VOLUNTEER OPTIONS:

Donations of flowers and greenery!  

We would like to request that every family donates a flower stem or some greenery from their home garden.  Alternatively, store purchased stems are also welcomed.  We will use these beautiful donations to create 12 floral centerpieces to decorate the lunch space.  Upon completion of lunch, these beautiful centerpieces will be given to each classroom.  

We need volunteers to help with floral centerpiece arrangements:

  • 2 x floral centerpiece creators, 9:00-10:00am
  • 12 x 500ml Mason Jars
  • 12 x 1L Mason Jars
