NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING – PROSPECT LAKE PARENTS' ADVISORY COUNCIL
Your PLES PAC Executive would like to provide notice of the Annual General Meeting of the Prosect Lake Parents’ Advisory Council to be held as follows:
- Date: Tuesday May 21, 2024
- Time: PAC Meeting 7:00-8:00pm, AGM 8:00-8:30pm
- Location: PLES Elementary School Learning Commons or virtually via MS Teams

Join us for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and nominate yourself or others for one of the following open positions:
- President
- Vice President
- Treasurer
- Secretary
- Communication Coordinator
- COPACS Representative
- Members-at-Large
AMENDMENTS TO PLES PAC BYLAWS
We are proposing five amendments to our PAC Bylaws. Please take a moment to read over these changes. You can view our current PLES Constitution and Bylaws HERE. There will be a vote at our AGM to approve the following amendments:
Change Location: Section III - Executive, 3.2. Executive Defined, Subsections c - f
Recommended Changes:
- Removal of ‘;’ and replaced with ‘.’ in section 3.2, c.
- The role of President may be split and shared by two members. Each member will have one vote at general and executive meetings.
- The role of Vice President may be split and shared by two members. Each member will have one vote at general and executive meetings.
- Subsection d.: The roles of Secretary, Treasurer, and Communications Coordinator may be split and shared by two members who will each have one vote at general and executive meetings.
- Subsection e.: Change COPACS Rep to COPACS Representative
Justification:
- All executive members' roles can be shared. The current Bylaws do not state the President role, or Vice President role can be shared, only when the two roles are combined.
- Adding a separate President and Vice President co-shared position change will modify the subsection bulleting for the remaining roles.
- Adding the Communications Coordinator role can be shared to align with all other executive positions.
- Changing COPACS Rep to COPACS Representative to maintain cohesive language throughout the document.
