Tomorrow, Friday October 7th, is the pizza and sushi hot lunch.
A few reminders for children participating in hot lunch:
- All of the pizza or sushi packaging needs to go home with your child. At Prospect Lake, we strive to provide children with litterless lunches, which means all packaging on hot lunch days needs to go home to be recycled and / or composted.
- You can recycle the pizza boxes, sushi container packaging, and the paper from the chopsticks.
- You can compost the chopsticks and napkins.
- Please send your child with a nutritious snack and water bottle. It might be worthwhile sending a lunch kit with an ice pack to store any leftover food.
PLEASE NOTE: If your child will be absent and you would prefer to pick up their hot lunch or have alternate arrangements made, please email Mrs. Blackwell at gblackwell@saanichschools.ca BEFORE 11:00am.
If your child is not participating in tomorrow's hot lunch program, please ensure you have discussed this with your child to help prevent disappointment.
