Hello Prospect Lake families,

We are in the process of organizing some school fundraisers and updating you on the refunds from our

online system from last year. We were hoping to simply refund people who had paid for hot lunches or

other fundraisers on our online system through Paypal. This has proved very difficult and in order to

move forward have decided to credit those of you who had paid last year using our hotlunches.net

system. In order to ensure your account is credited, you must register on Hotluches.net again (as you

need to each year). Once you have registered we will be able to credit your new account. Although we

are not currently able to do hot lunches, the credit will be good for any of our upcoming fundraisers

including Holiday Art Cards, Red Barn Cards, and we will be starting popcorn days again as well. For

those of you who would rather be issued a cheque for your refund instead of a credit to your account

please email Sarah Angus at Sarah.R.Angus@gmail.com . Thank you so much for your continued

patience as we sort out the refund process!

If you are new to the school Hotlunches.net is a platform we use for accepting online orders and

payments for some of our fundraising throughout the year. We are currently getting ready to start up

some of our fundraising efforts. Please see below the instructions for registering!

Hotlunches.net Instructions

The PAC will be using hotlunches.net as a platform for organizing some school fundraisers. We strongly

encourage each family to set up an account. If you don’t have access to a computer, please let Mrs.

Blackwell know. We want to ensure inclusion of everyone. The online system is designed to create only

one account per family. If you require a second account, please enter your user info then submit a

support request.

How to Register for new and existing parents!

Parents need to re-register their children every new school year.

1. Go to ples.hotlunches.net

2. Click the “register” button at the top right-hand corner to sign up

3. Our school code is PHL

4. Enter your name, email address and phone number then a user ID that you will use for access to

the system. Enter a password and then enter it again to verify it’s correct.

5. Once registered, you will be logged into the website.

6. Please add your Prospect Lake students by clicking “students” buttons below or the “profile”

menu tab in order to proceed. Once the students have been added you will be able to place

orders by clicking the “order” button below each child’s name. We’ll let you know when the

fundraisers are up and running.

Ordering for Fundraisers

Each fundraiser will appear on the site once it is available for ordering. Ordering dates and deadlines will

be shared through the PAC weekly reminder emails.

Payment

Preferred method of payment is online as it prevents lost or late payments and saves a lot of volunteer

time. If you select the PayPal tab you can still pay by credit card without having a PayPal account.

If you wish to pay by cash or cheque, we ask that you still input your order online then simply print out a

remittance form. Place the form in a sealed envelope along with the cash or cheque (made payable to

PLES PAC) and leave it in the locked PAC box at the office. Please don’t wait until the last day, envelopes

can take a lot longer than expected to make it to their final destination!

There is a $0.30 charge for every online payment made.

Parents are welcome to change orders up until the order deadline, but please make sure you pay any

outstanding balances. Please remember to clear any unwanted items from your order form. If you have

unpaid items in your cart after the deadline you will be contacted and notified that the order has been

cancelled.
