The PAC Executive wishes everyone a safe and happy winter break!
IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES
- December 19, 2022 – January 2, 2023: Winter Break
- Sunday January 8: Bottle Drive & Tree Chipping **Volunteers Needed**
THANK YOU!
We would like to thank Danielle Tadman, Heather Hamilton,
Katie Innes, Marianne Spalteholz, and Stephanie Rabbers for helping decorate
the gym for the winter concerts. It
looked amazing! We would also like to
thank Brown’s the Florist for their generous donation of
the floral decorations - every student will be coming home with one.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Bottle Drive & Tree Chipping
Save your holiday empties!
We are having a bottle drive on Sunday January 8 from 10am-2pm at the
school. We are in need of 15 volunteers
to help make this another successful bottle drive. If you’re available to help, please sign-up HERE.
Alongside the bottle drive we are having a tree chipping by
donation. This event will occur at the
same time as the bottle drive, 10am-2pm on Sunday January 8. We do need a parent volunteer to be our liaison
as well as a few volunteers.
The liaison’s job is quite simple. We need somebody to connect with the company
to find out some basic information – do we need volunteers? Do we need to arrange for a few parents with
trucks to pick up trees? What can we do
to make this a successful event? The
company has already been booked, the date and time has been set. If this feels like a good fit for you, or you
are interested in volunteering, please sign up HERE. If you have any questions, please contact the
PAC at prospectlakepac@gmail.com

WINTER CENTERPIECE CARE & DISPOSAL INSTRUCTIONS
We hope you’re enjoying your centerpieces! To ensure they continue to thrive, continue to add water to the container on a daily basis. As the season comes to an end and your centerpiece is finished, here are a few quick tips for disposal: all of the flowers and greenery can be composted. The green oasis (the green block that holds the water) and the tape need to be put in the garbage. The green plastic container can be washed and dried, then returned to the school during the first week of January for recycling – we can reuse them next year. Any decorations can be saved for future activities. Enjoy!
COPACS SURVEY
Our District Parent Advisory Committee (called COPACS – Confederation of Parents’ Advisory Councils of Saanich) wants to hear from district families about speakers and resources that would be helpful to support you and your child(ren) grow and learn at school.
The COPACS Parent/Guardian Resource Committee has created a short survey for parents and guardians - please share with others and provide your thoughts by January 3rd. Our school PAC will hear about the results and can potentially coordinate speakers and resources with other schools.
Any questions or concerns? Please contact copacssd63@gmail.com.
