FUNDRAISERS
1. Bottle Drive **VOLUNTEERS NEEDED**
When: THIS SUNDAY, January 9 2022
Time: 10:00am-2:00pm
Location: Prospect Lake Elementary School, under cover area
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED to help at the bottle drive. If you have an extra hour of time, we could greatly use your help!! Please send us an email at prospectlakepac@gmail.com
We happily look forward to collecting and sorting your empty returnable beverage containers this weekend! If you have a sizable donation and are unable to transport your containers to the school, please send us an email. Covid safety protocols will be in place. Don’t forget to tell your family and friends, every bottle counts!
2. West Coast Seeds
Our seeds fundraiser will be up and running soon. Detailed information will come home the week of January 17, with the website open for orders January 24 thru February 4, 2022. Time to start planning your garden; flowers, vegetable and herb seeds will be available to purchase.
3. Hot Lunch
For the time being, hot lunches have been suspended to help ensure the health and safety of the children and staff. We hope to continue this program again as soon as possible.
4. PLES Clothing Orders
Unfortunately, we are still awaiting news from the company. We hope to have an update for you soon.
VACCINE MANDATE SURVEY ** DEADLINE EXTENDED **
At the November COPACS meeting, the following motion passed unanimously:
Subject to the results of a parent survey, with a simple 50% majority in favour, COPACS will write a letter to the Saanich School Board requesting reconsideration of the policy regarding staff vaccination and speaking in favour of a vaccine mandate for all staff.

2022-2023 KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT
If you have a child born in 2017, they are eligible to register for our upcoming kindergarten year.

JANUARY PARENTING WORKSHOP ** Registration Deadline Jan 10 **
There is still space available for January’s Parenting Workshop with Dr. Allison Rees.
Topic: Sidestepping the Power Struggle
Taking the guesswork out of many parenting concerns. In this workshop we focus on practical solutions to questions like "Do consequences work, if so when and how?", "How do we get kids to take responsibility?", "How do we get out of the negative relationship patterns like nagging and power struggles?" Great information for parents with children of any age.
