               Weekly Reminders

 

 

  • Parking: Please refrain from parking in reserved spaces or those reserved for special needs.

  • Silent Auction starts Tuesday! Please come and check out the amazing array of items in the foyer. Auction items will be on display beginning Tuesday, May 19 at 8:15 with final bids being taken on Friday at the School Dance. Bidding wars are encouraged as all funds raised will support our Outdoor Learning Spaces Project and our kids. Thank you families!

  • Lilac Bush Needed: We are looking for a lilac bush (any colour) to add to our school garden. Have you got an extra in your yard that you no longer need? Would your family like to donate one to the garden? Please contact Mrs. Hamilton at 250.727.3314 or stop by her classroom.

  • Used Children's Books Needed: Please send in books for our library sale. All books will be for sale for 50 cents at the library book sale on Friday, June 12. All proceeds will go towards our school library. Please see our teacher librarian Ms. Bourdon if you are able to help that day.

    Mark your Calendars

  • Tuesday, May 19:  Whole School and class photos.  Photos will be taken first thing in the morning!

  • Wednesday, May 20: PAC Annual General Meeting and Elections. Speaker: Mr. Guiguet "Class Placement - how staff determine class composition and student placement”. This presentation is relevant for all families and will give you insight into how and why staff place your children in certain classes. Please join us.  Nominations are open for all PAC Executive positions. Email prospectlakepac@sd63.bc.ca to submit your name. Nominations can be made at the meeting also.

  • Thursday, May 21: Science Fair at Prospect Lake School. 9 - 11 AM.  Students involved, please have your science fair projects ready to show. Families are welcome to visit from 12:00 - 6:00 PM.

  • Friday, May 22: Family Dance, BBQ & Silent Auction.  Get your Western outfits ready the dance is coming soon. There will be lots happening at our dance: We will have homemade chili, burgers and lots of baked goods. Students, be sure to send in those WANTED posters to win a prize. There will be glow sticks for sale, shadow frames, a photo booth and more. Concession is cash, cheque or credit card.

  • Monday, May 25: Saanich Police All School Bike Rodeo.  Students please bring bikes and helmets to school for the morning.

  • Wednesday, May 27: 12:30 PM. Kindergarten Orientation. Please say hello to our future students and families if you see them around the school.
