Reminders for Feb 15 - 22
·PAC Meeting: Monday, Feb 16: 6:45 PM in the library. This is a very important meeting for all families. We will discuss the future of the PAC. We would like your feedback on events, communication and how to spend the money we raise. Also, Royal Oak School principal, Carly Hunter will attend to give a presentation and to answer questions that remain after the Royal Oak Open House last week. Grade Four and Five parents are especially encouraged to attend.
·Basketball for school teams: Tuesday, Feb. 17. Players, check your schedules. Please note basketball jamboree for both teams, coming up on Friday, March 6, 12 - 2:30 PM at Royal Oak. Parents must arrange transportation to and from Royal Oak. Notice and permission form have gone home. Please return permission form ASAP.
·School Open House:Wednesday, Feb 18.8:30 - 9:15 AM. Everyone welcome!
·Early Dismissal: Wednesday & Thursday, Feb 18 & 19: School day ends at 1:48 and busses run at that time as usual
·Non-Instructional Day: Friday, Feb 20. Students not in session.
Upcoming Dates:
·Spring Plant Sale. Order forms have gone home. Please help support our school and have your orders in by Wednesday, March 4.
·Saanich District Swim Meet: Wednesday, March 4. Details to come.
·Art card order forms will come home on Monday. Have a look at the display in the foyer for samples. Order Forms due Friday February 27th.
·Hot Lunch: Friday, Feb 27. Tim Horton's food. Thanks to all the family volunteers who make this happen for our kids.
Tod Creek Watershed Exploration & Bus Tour:
Saturday, Feb 28. 10 AM - 2PM. The Evergreen Foundation will
host a bus tour of the Tod Creek Watershed from Maltby Lake to Snidel -Tod
Creek Inlet. This is our local watershed at Prospect Lake. Join in for a
relaxing half day trip and bring your binoculars! Lunch provided. For more
