  • Please remember to return your big package of forms. We need that safe arrival information!
  • PAC Meeting: Wednesday, October 15. 6:45 PM in the library. Everyone is welcome.  We will discuss and vote on which items we’ll fund from the staff wish list for this year. This is where your fundraising goes, so come have your say! Thanks to Alicia Pine for volunteering as PAC Secretary. School Board candidate for upcoming Nov. 15 election, Victoria Martin, met with PAC Executive on Friday, October 10. Wayne Hunter, School Board candidate current School Board Chair, will attend to introduce himself to families. Meeting agenda below.

5.     Reports: Principal, President (voting on staff wish list, parent education topics),Treasurer,  COPACS, Grade 5 Liaison.

6.     New Business

  • Whole School Bottle Drive Fundraiser: Saturday, October 18, 1- 4PM. Please ask your family and friends to save their beverage containers (all types). Funds will go to the “Artist in Residence” program for all students. Please hand out the flyers that will come home with your child. Drop off containers near the playground shed.  We need volunteers to help sort on the 18th. Sign up with Shannon at shanepicure@gmail.com

Upcoming Dates to Remember:

  • Bayside Middle School PAC movie: "The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia":  Thursday, October 23 at 7 PM at Bayside Middle School. The movie will be followed by a discussion, refreshments and door prizes.
  • Halloween Family Dance: Friday, October 24, 6:00 – 8:30 PM.  This is a family dance and adults must stay to supervise their children.
    • Song request forms will be given to children next week. Return to the plastic pumpkin in each classroom. One prizewinner/class. 
    • Volunteers needed for decorations, baking, entry, clean up. Sign up with Shannon at shanepicure@gmail.com , or on the sign-up sheet in the meeting area. Please note what you can do and when.
    • There will be a concession run by grade five families as a fundraiser for the year end grade five celebrations.  Grade five families, please volunteer to bake and help sell food.  Sign up for the concession with Jamie at jldisbrow@shaw.ca.
  • Hot Lunch: Friday, October 31 (Pizza). If you would like celiac friendly (gluten free) lunch for your child on hot lunch days, please contact Tracy Johns at 250-665-6685 or tperrett@shaw.ca
