Hello Families,
A fun and flexible new, all ages choir is starting on January 7 at the Prospect Lake Community Hall – details below. Best wishes for 2014 from your PAC.
Come and sing for the joy of singing. If you can walk, you can dance. If you can talk, you can sing.
Who: All ages most welcome. No auditions
What: Singing together, learning some harmonies and fun songs to sing with everyone from 4 to 104.
Why? Singing brings people together in community, makes us feel better, stimulates our brains and gives us joy. Everyone can sing, even if when we were kids we were told by a teacher just to mouth the words silently! People who sing
together in choirs synchronize their heartbeats. No wonder singing is such a powerful tool for building community.
When: Tuesday afternoons, 4:00 - 5:30 pm; January 7 through February 11.
How Much: Try us out for one time free!
First term: $20 for six weeks or $30 for a family, including the first free session. All Proceeds to Prospect Lake Community Hall.
Leaders: Nancy Dobbs and Mary-Wynne Ashford recently completed the renowned intensive Community Choir Leadership Training led by Shivon Robinsong and Denis Donnelly. Both Nancy and Mary-Wynne are experienced teachers and both direct other small choirs.
