Prospect Lake Elementary School

Prospect Lake School received a report of a bear being sighted and photographed on Goward Road heading towards Prospect Lake School at 8:40 a.m. on Friday, September  20, 2013.  Although it has not been seen on the school grounds all children have been kept inside this morning until lunch recess. For the afternoon we have restricted the outside play area available to children to those areas adjacent to the school,and well away from the edge of the forest. Additional staff have been designated to outside supervision and the families of all children walking home from the school alone, have been informed of the situation. The Saanich Police have also been informed.
