A school planning council consists of the principal, a teacher and three parents from the school, one of which must be a PAC Executive. It's role is to create a school plan to guide teachers and administrators in meeting the needs of the children in the school. (A detailed description is available on the website of School District #63.)

This year there are currently two places on Prospect Lake's School Planning Council that need to be filled by parent volunteers. The following process will be used to fill these positions:

  • Any parents wishing to stand for election will submit their names to Mr. Guiguet (in person, by phone or by email (mguiguet@sd63.bc.ca) no later than October 5th. No late submissions will be accepted.

  • The candidates names will be posted on the PAC website from October 8th until October 11th.

  • During this time parents may complete and submit a ballot for the two candidates of their choice.

  • The ballots will be obtained from, and completed at the school office where Mrs. Blackwell and Mr. Guiguet will ensure the secret ballot process and counting of ballots is done fairly.

  • The successful candidates names will be posted on the PAC website.
