Garden Work Party Sunday October 20, 2024 from 2-4 PM (Weather Permitting)
Join our Garden Work Party. The class gardens are severely overgrown and the school has requested our help! Parent assistance will allow the children to get back into the gardens. The school has shovels, trowels, rakes and wheel barrels. Garden shears will be a useful tool for any volunteers but volunteers are welcome to bring any other tools they feel will assist with weeding the garden.
The school requires us to remove the garden waste. Please contact Angela at prospectlakepac@gmail.com if you are able to assist with hauling away garden waste.
Halloween Howl
Save the Date! This year’s Halloween Howl is October 25, 2024 from 5:30-8:00pm at Bayside Middle School. At this time PAC is looking for concession donation items, as well volunteers to assist the day of the event. Dance volunteer opportunities include assistance with dance set up, ticket sales, photo booth attendant, concession shifts and dance clean up.
Class Reps
We are still looking for a rep for Mrs. H and Mrs. Bossence. Please contact the classroom teacher and PAC at prospectlakepac@gmail.com if you are interested.
Programs for Parents
FamilySmart offers 5 dates this month to join other parents to watch and discuss our topic: Emotion Regulation
Details:Join us in watching a video conversation with Nicole Allen, Clinical Counsellor at Fraser Health’s START Program. Nicole offers support to parents and caregivers with information and strategies to cope with emotion dysregulation and the challenges which many young people begin to experience as they enter and move through the adolescent years. We will be exploring the critical role which parents and caregivers play in creating the environment for positive change for their young people especially when things can be the most challenging.
This video presentation will be followed by a facilitated discussion by a FamilySmart Parent Peer Support Worker
