PURDY’S SPRING CHOCOLATES FUNDRAISER

There are only a few days left to place your Easter chocolates order!  Thank you to everyone who has ordered so far, we have made our $600 fundraising goal.  Let's see if we can make it to $1000 - that will give a $250 return to the PAC to put towards enhancing all students' educational experiences.

Orders are accepted until Monday March 4, 2024.

Important Details:

  • Customer Number: 16280
  • If your order can fit into your child’s backpack, we will send them in a Purdy’s bag.
  • If you do not want your order to go home with your child, regardless of the order size, please email Paula at phesje@gmail.com and you can pick it up at school.
  • If your order is large, you can pick it up at the school around March 11th (we’ll let you know the date as soon as Purdy’s informs us).

SPARE ROOM? HOST AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT!

The Saanich International Student Program (SISP) is actively looking for new Host Families for International students joining the Saanich School District in September 2024. Experience exciting new family dynamics and create relationships that will last a lifetime!

Hosting for SISP – Quick Facts:

  • Duration: students come to Saanich for a stay of 4, 5 or 10 months  
  • Schools: students attend Claremont, Parkland, or Stelly’s Secondary Schools 
  • Provide: a private bedroom, three meals a day, healthy snacks, and inclusion in your family life 
  • Receive: a monthly reimbursement of $1,200 per student for expenses incurred, and continued support from the SISP Homestay Team  

Host Family Information Evenings:

If you are interested in learning what being a SISP Host Family is all about, join the SISP Homestay Team for one of the upcoming Host Family Information Evenings. 

Drop in anytime between 5-7pm, with short presentations every half hour: 5pm, 5:30pm, 6pm, 6:30pm. Please sign up via the link below.

PAC YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISING

Please note that the following year-round fundraisers bring in money that goes back to the PAC.  The funds raised go towards supporting our children by enhancing their experiences at Prospect Lake Elementary School.

GRADE 5 YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISER

Country Grocer

Please save your receipts from Country Grocer and bring them back to the school.

  • There is a metal bucket on top of the wooden PAC mailbox beside Mrs. Blackwell’s desk that you / your child can place them into.
  • Country Grocer provides a percentage back via gift cards from all receipts we return.  
  • The money raised from the sale of the gift cards helps support the current year's Grade 5 class with their year-end activities.
