FEBRUARY PAC MEETING
ALL parents and guardians are invited to join us on Tuesday February 20, 2024, for our Parent Advisory Committee meeting. The meeting is held at the school in the Learning Commons (aka. the library) or from the comfort of your home via Microsoft Teams. School doors open at 6:45pm. The meeting will start at 7:00pm.
There are two door prizes available at the end of the meeting, a Mosi Gift Card and a Rock Coast Chocolates Gift Card including toffee bark.
When joining us at school, please enter through the main front doors, sign in at Mrs. Blackwell’s desk and proceed directly to the Learning Commons. Masking is optional and choices are respected.

WE WANT YOUR USED CHILDREN'S BOOKS!
The PAWS PICKS Team will be collecting Used Kids Books for their annual Used Book Sale.
Please drop off any of the following gently used books to the front desk or the learning commons any time before the end of February:

- Chapter Books
- Graphic Novels

PURDY’S SPRING CHOCOLATES FUNDRAISER

SD63 ANNUAL PARENT INVOLVMENT EVENING
This annual gathering brings together parents and guardians, school and district administration, teachers, and trustees to share information on a variety of timely educational topics.
- Date: Thursday Feb 22, 2024
- Time: 7:00-8:30pm
- Location: Stelly's Secondary School, 1627 Stelly’s Cross Road, Saanichton
- Theme: Student success: What’s happening in school to support the strategic plan and its four themes?
The evening will be set up like a fair where you can choose from a variety of school conversations on literacy, indigenous learner success, mental health & wellness, or global citizenship.
Schools from across the district will be there to share their learning journeys. The event will start and end in the theatre.
Registration is not required; we hope to see you there!

PAC YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISING
Please note that the following year-round fundraisers bring in money that goes back to the PAC. The funds raised go towards supporting our children by enhancing their experiences at Prospect Lake Elementary School.
GRADE 5 YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISER
Country Grocer
Please save your receipts from Country Grocer and bring them back to the school.
- There is a metal bucket on top of the wooden PAC mailbox beside Mrs. Blackwell’s desk that you / your child can place them into.
- Country Grocer provides a percentage back via gift cards from all receipts we return.
- The money raised from the sale of the gift cards helps support the current year's Grade 5 class with their year-end activities.
