NEW HOT LUNCH DATES... TIME TO ORDER!

All remaining hot lunches from February through June are available to order through the MunchaLunch system. Please note, all orders are due on Friday, one week before the meal date, by midnight.

UPCOMING MEALS...

  • Friday February 23 – Pizza & Sushi
  • Friday March 8 – This Week's Lunch
  • Friday April 12 – Subway
  • Friday April 26 – Pizza & Sushi
  • Friday May 10 – This Week's Lunch
  • Friday May 24 – Subway
  • Friday June 7- Pizza & Sushi

A few changes you may notice:

  • Milk, regular and chocolate, have been added to Pizza and Sushi hot lunch days.  
  • There has been a slight price increase on some items. 
  • Subway no longer sells roast beef and has moved to brisket (still a beef product but pricier).   

Hot lunches are meant to be a fun opportunity for students.  If this should pose any financial hardship to your family, please contact the PAC at prospectlakepac@gmail.com.

KERNEL'S POPCORN - GRADE 5 FUNDRAISER

Hello Prospect Lake Families,

We are excited to announce three more Kernels popcorn days!

This is a Grade 5 Fundraiser, with all proceeds going toward the Grade 5 camp day in June.

The Kernels Popcorn Days are:

  • Wednesday March 14th
    • Orders due Friday February 16th
  • Wednesday April 17th
    • Orders due Friday March 22nd
  • Wednesday May 15th
    • Orders due Friday April 19th

Orders can be placed through MunchaLunch under the "fundraisers open" tab.

Flavours available are Caramel (NEW!), Buttersalt and White Cheddar.  Bags are $2.75 each.

Please note, popcorn will be handed out at the end of the day to go home in backpacks.

WE WANT YOUR USED CHILDREN'S BOOKS!

The PAWS PICKS Team will be collecting Used Kids Books for their annual Used Book Sale.

Please drop off any of the following gently used books to the front desk or the learning commons any time before the end of February:

  • Board Books
  • Early Readers
  • Picture Books
  • Chapter Books
  • Graphic Novels

SD63 ANNUAL PARENT INVOLVMENT EVENING

This annual gathering brings together parents and guardians, school and district administration, teachers, and trustees to share information on a variety of timely educational topics.

  • Date: Thursday Feb 22, 2024 
  • Time: 7:00-8:30pm
  • Location: Stelly's Secondary School, 1627 Stelly’s Cross Road, Saanichton
  • Theme: Student success: What’s happening in school to support the strategic plan and its four themes?

The evening will be set up like a fair where you can choose from a variety of school conversations on literacy, indigenous learner success, mental health & wellness, or global citizenship. 

Schools from across the district will be there to share their learning journeys.  The event will start and end in the theatre. 

Registration is not required; we hope to see you there!

PAC YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISING

Please note that the following year-round fundraisers bring in money that goes back to the PAC.  The funds raised go towards supporting our children by enhancing their experiences at Prospect Lake Elementary School.

GRADE 5 YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISER

Country Grocer

Please save your receipts from Country Grocer and bring them back to the school.

  • There is a metal bucket on top of the wooden PAC mailbox beside Mrs. Blackwell’s desk that you / your child can place them into.
  • Country Grocer provides a percentage back via gift cards from all receipts we return.  
  • The money raised from the sale of the gift cards helps support the current year's Grade 5 class with their year-end activities.
