COEA – BLACK GRADE 2024 * TIME TO REGISTER *

Join us for the 2nd Celebration of Excellence and Achievement for students in our communities (a.k.a. Black Grad 2024). The inaugural COEA was a free event that happened in 2023, and over 30 students were recognized!   If you know a child who is transitioning into middle or high school, or graduating from high school, college, or university we want to honour them!

COEA is a family and community celebration to honour K-12 and post-secondary students of African descent who have achieved a significant milestone in their academic journey. We are in the process of selecting the date, which will be either Thursday, May 2nd or Thursday, May 9th, 2024, in the Victoria area. This ceremony and reception include various traditions, food, gifts, guest speakers, music, and fun.

Please pass on to other schools/districts and potential honorees. You can share this link (https://forms.gle/SSLuiTWTp2ivmex56) or complete the attached form and return it by Friday, January 19th by 6pm. Attendees will receive further details (including the location of ceremony) by Monday, February 5, 2024.

If you have any questions, please e-mail us at BlackGradBC@gmail.com.

Please share this information with your networks.

Thank you!
