BOTTLE DRIVE
Thank you to Desiree Davies, Jaquie Davis, Marie Garvin, Angela Formosa-Gray, Tiare Watson, Tracy Michaels, Catherine Hicks, Sarah Angus, Erin McGinnis, Lindsay Davis, Micaela Maftei, Ulrich Hansen, Heiley Gnam, Jason Gnam and Jude for volunteering. We made approximately $1,000 from all of the donated empties!
HALLOWEEN HOWL REMINDERS…
Wishing everyone a great time at the dance tonight!! Just a few reminders…
TICKETS: Pre-purchased tickets can be picked up from the outside ticket table. To purchase tickets, please find the indoor ticket table. Remember, this is a cash only event.
LOCATION: Bayside Middle School Gym, 1101 Newton Place, Brentwood Bay
PARKING: There is plenty of parking on site and in the cul-de-sac.
VOLUNTEERS: Thank you to everyone that signed up to volunteer at the dance, without your help, this dance would not take place!!
COSTUMES: Costumes are welcomed and encouraged. Please remember to leave all weapons at home.
SUPERVISION: All children must have a responsible adult with them at the event.
WINTER ART CARD SAMPLES
Art card samples will begin to go home with the students today. All cards will be in your home early next week. Instructions for ordering your child's art cards can be found inside of the card. Order deadline is Tuesday November 7th - later orders cannot be accommodated. Your ordering code can be shared with friends and family for them to order as well. Delivery will be through the children when orders arrive at the school.

FAMILY GAMES NIGHT
The staff from the Interactivity Board Game Café are coming to our school for a second games night! Board games for ages 5 and up will be available to play! Sign up is now open for this free family event. We kindly ask families who attended the October games night to allow new families to sign up for November’s event first. Board Game Café staff will be there throughout the evening to help facilitate games and answer any questions you may have.

KERNELS POPCORN DAYS
Hello Prospect Lake Families,
We are excited to announce the return of Kernels popcorn days!
This will be a Grade 5 Fundraiser, with all proceeds going toward the Grade 5 camp day in June.
The first 3 Kernels Popcorn Days are:
- Friday November 24th
- Orders due Friday November 3rd
- Wednesday December 20th
- Orders due Friday December 1st
- Wednesday January 17th
- Orders due Friday December 22nd
Orders can be placed through MunchaLunch under the "fundraisers open" tab.
Flavours available are Buttersalt and White Cheddar. Bags are $2.75 each.
Please note, popcorn will be handed out at the end of the day to go home in backpacks.

We are looking forward to hearing from the Deputy Minister of Education and Child Care, during our DPAC Summit in November, with an update on current issues in public education. Parents are welcome to submit questions for the Deputy Minister by November 1st.

erase Family Sessions 2023/2024
Establishing Safe, Caring, & Respectful Digital Communities. Safer Schools Together will be presenting three Parent/Guardian training sessions. Presentation dates: Nov 8, Nov 28, Nov 30.

PAC YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISING
Please note that the following year-round fundraisers bring in money that goes back to the PAC. The funds raised go towards supporting our children by enhancing their experiences at Prospect Lake Elementary School.
GRADE 5 YEAR-ROUND FUNDRAISER
Country Grocer
Please save your receipts from Country Grocer and bring them back to the school.
- There is a metal bucket on top of the wooden PAC mailbox beside Mrs. Blackwell’s desk that you / your child can place them into.
- Country Grocer provides a percentage back via gift cards from all receipts we return.
- The money raised from the sale of the gift cards helps support the current year's Grade 5 class with their year-end activities.
