HALLOWEEN HOWL SCHOOL DANCE UPDATES

Only one week remaining until our school dance!!

We are looking forward to another Halloween Howl dance.  For new families to the school, and for those families that have never had the experience to attend the dance, it is a fun filled family event that is loved by all.  Our DJ is awesome and provides great entertainment for everyone.  The students enjoy seeing their friends in costumes, dancing together, devouring delicious foods and baked goods, and getting all their sillies out.

TICKETS: The MunchaLunch website has pre-sale tickets available for purchase until Thursday October 26th.  All pre-ordered tickets come with a free glow stick.  Tickets are available for cash purchase at the venue on the day of the dance at the inside ticket table.

BAKE SALE GOODIES NEEDED: Do you have a knack in the kitchen? Do you love to bake? Or perhaps you enjoy purchasing delicious baked goods?  We need volunteers to donate some tasty treats for our bake sale table.  Sign up is available HERE

Details:

  • All bake sale items will need to be dropped off at Prospect Lake Elementary School on Friday October 27th either between 8:15-8:45am or 2:30-3:15pm in the gymnasium, OR,
  • At the main doors of Bayside Middle from 4:00-5:00pm
  • Please ensure you clearly label your container (if you want it back!) with your name, or your child’s name and division number.
  • Label your container if you are providing an allergy-friendly treat.
  • Containers are available for pick up when you leave the dance.

We thank you in advance for your help!

ACCESSABILITY IN SAANICH SCHOOLS

The Saanich School District is dedicated to inclusion, accessibility, and equity for students, staff, and all those interacting with our district.  We are committed to improving the experiences of people with diverse disabilities and we encourage our community to share their feedback and experiences.

The Saanich Equitable Access Team (SEAT) is a working group comprised of parents, teachers, support staff, district staff, and community partners collaboratively working on the development of a Three-Year Accessibility Plan.  The work of this group will be transparent and community focused while our interrelated core values of compassion, fairness, honesty, responsibility, and respect provide foundation for this work.

The initial priority for SEAT will involve gathering input from our school community (which will include student voice), identify system needs, establish priorities, and plans for action to enhance equity of access to programming and our facilities within the Saanich School District.
