BOTTLE
DRIVE & TREE CHIPPING
When: Sunday January 8th
Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Where: Prospect Lake Elementary School, 321 Prospect Lake Road
Come on out and drop off your empty
beverage containers (including milk cartons and jugs!). Every bottle counts! Tree chipping is by donation. All funds raised go towards supporting our
children’s indoor and outdoor education. Thank you to all the parents and guardians that signed up to volunteer to ensure this fundraiser can be a success.
HOT LUNCH
The MunchaLunch system has the January and February hot lunches available for ordering. Hot lunches are meant to be a fun opportunity for our children. If ordering hot lunches poses a financial hardship for your family, please contact us at prospectlakepac@gmail.com

interested in learning more about the parent voice and Parent Advisory Council
(PAC) roles? Are you new to the school system? Are you interested in learning more about
what a PAC is? Have you been on the PAC
forever but would love an overall orientation?
Then this workshop is for you!
Learn about PACs,
the School Act, Constitution & Bylaws, Governance, Effective Meetings,
Elections, and a brief overview of Financials.

FREE EVENT FOR CHILDREN IN KINSHIP CARE
On Saturday
January 14, from 1:30pm – 3:00pm, the Parent Support Services
Society of BC is hosting a free event for children ages 6 to 12 years old who
are being raised in kinship care. The
kindship caregivers are also invited to join us for coffee or tea during the
event.

Help For the Hard Times Workshops: These run every month for parents and caregivers whose
children have been at the ER or have had a hospital stay for
mental health or substance use issues.

- Session 3: How to take care of yourself and your family after a crisis
