PARENT ADVISORY COUNCIL (PAC) MEETING

We would like to invite all parents and guardians to join us this Tuesday, September 27th at 7:00pm for our first PAC meeting of the year.  Meetings will be held in person at the school in the Learning Commons (library).  When you join us, please enter the school through the main front doors, sanitize your hands, sign in at Mrs. Blackwell’s desk and proceed directly to the Learning Commons.  Masking is optional and choices are respected.  Doors open at 6:45pm with the meeting starting promptly at 7:00pm.  September’s meeting agenda can be found HERE. **Parking is available at the school!!**

What is a PAC?  The Parent Advisory Council, commonly known as a PAC, is the officially recognized collective voice of parents and guardians in our school.

What does the PAC do?  Our PAC strives to represent the diversity within our school community as well as contributing to the benefit of all students. We strive to maintain positive relationships with school administrators and staff.  Throughout the year the PAC may host whole school events, fundraisers, and other activities with the goal of providing enrichment for the students.

Why attend a PAC meeting? Every parent and guardian of a student registered at Prospect Lake Elementary School are members of the PAC and are eligible to participate in our monthly meetings.  Our PAC meetings are a forum to discuss matters affecting the school and the education of our children.  Parents’ voices are a tremendous value to our school as they offer a wealth of ideas, knowledge, and support.  At our monthly meetings, the principal and / or vice principal, will be in attendance to provide us with a school update.  They are also available for questions and discussion.  Upon their departure, the PAC president will facilitate the evenings agenda.  There are topics available for discussion, voting, new ideas, etc.

We are hopeful to see new faces at our September meeting.  If you are unable to make this month’s meeting, you are always welcome to attend another meeting throughout the year.   If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to connect with us at prospectlakepac@gmail.com
