STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCH
On Thursday, June 23, 2022, our Prospect Lake school families will host a “Family Favourites” potluck lunch. This is our way to thank the over 40 Prospect Lake Staff for all the support and care they give to our children.
Thank you to all the families that have volunteered so far. We are still in need of 3 families to prepare food. 2 volunteers to make a main dish and 1 volunteer to make a side dish. If you’re interested in volunteering, you can sign up HERE.
If you are preparing food,
- Please drop your contributions off at the Prospect Lake Hall between 8:20-9:00am, or at the school gym between 9:30-10:30am.
- Please aim to make a dish that serves 8-10 people.
- Please include a note alongside your dish that includes the following information:
- Your name / family name
- The name and origin of the dish or any special information
- The main ingredients or allergens
- Any specific instructions about warming or serving
You can pick up your dishes at the Prospect Lake Hall from 2:45-3:15pm the same day.

School supply orders can now be purchased through the Hot Lunch Website. Ordering is available until June 26. For full details, please read the letter Mrs. Blackwell sent out.
HULLABALOO YEAR-END PAC FUNDRAISER
From now until Thursday June 30, Hullabaloo Coffee & Ice Cream is holding a year end fundraiser. Anytime you, your family, your friends, neighbours, colleagues, etc., order from Hullabaloo just say “Back to the PAC” and 10% from your order will go directly to the PAC.
Who is Hullabaloo Coffee & Ice Cream? Hullabaloo is a coffee and ice cream food truck located at 5550 West Saanich Rd (at the Red Barn), offering delicious espresso-based drinks, pastries, ice cream, fresh pressed lemonade, and even a little something special for your four-legged family members too!

BOTTLE DRIVE
Thank you to everyone that donated their returnable beverage containers to our bottle drives throughout the year. And another HUGE thank you to all of the volunteers that helped out; without you, we wouldn't have been so successful. This school year we raised $3,487.50 through our bottle drives. ALL of the money raised goes directly to providing educational opportunities for our children.
Our first bottle drive of the 2022-2023 school year will be on Sunday September 18th. It will run from 10am-2pm. Volunteer sign up will come out in August. Please save your empty returnable beverage containers. Let’s see if we can surpass this years total next year!

- Please save your receipts from Country Grocer and your Canadian Tire money. Place them in the bucket on top of the wooden PAC mailbox beside Mrs. Blackwell’s desk
- If you shop at Cobb’s Bread, please mention Prospect Lake School before you pay. 5% of what you spend comes back to the school.
- If you shop at Peninsula Co-op or buy gas at Save on Gas, please quote membership number #79184
