Kids and COVID 19 Information Session - TONIGHT!

Central Okanagan PAC in partnership with Vancouver DPAC and Surrey DPAC are thrilled to present BC Kids and COVID-19 with the Canadian Medical Association President and Pediatrician Dr. Katharine Smart. The presentation is tonight at 7:00pm.

As a pediatrician and CMA president, Dr. Smart will bring professional insights and experiences from across the country to BC parents.

With continued high COVID-19 cases in school aged children and the recent decision on a COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5-11, this virtual forum for parents and caregivers across BC will hear from Dr. Katharine Smart who will provide insights as a Pediatrician on COVID-19 and share her thoughts on vaccines for 5-11 year old’s and safety in school-aged kids.

Compared to BC, provinces such as Quebec and Ontario have had significantly lower COVID-19 case counts and deaths in recent months. Dr. Smart will provide parents up to date information about protective measures that parents and governments in other parts of Canada are taking to help keep their families safe.  

Parents will leave this presentation better able to keep their families safe and advocate for additional protective measures.

Change to PAC Meeting - Thursday November 25, 2021

You may have seen the email from the District Superintendent, Dave Eberwein, concerning the fuel restrictions and the effects on schools. One of the items he mentioned is that non-essential, face-to-face meetings should be held virtually where possible and practicable. As a result, we have decided to hold the next PAC meeting virtually, instead of in-person. Microsoft Teams will open at 6:45pm with the meeting starting promptly at 7:00pm.  The meeting agenda can be found HERE

Growing Smiles Fundraiser - Order deadline Thursday November 25, 2021

Hot Lunch THIS Friday!

Just a reminder this Friday, November 26, is hot lunch!  Please ensure your child is aware if they are, or are not, receiving a hot lunch.  It is also important to still send your child with a morning snack and a water bottle for the day.  A lunch kit is handy for any left over food to travel home in.  Enjoy!
