PAC MEETING

Thank you to everyone who attended the October PAC meeting. It was a very productive meeting. We listened to a presentation about the Districts 5 Year Strategic Plan and had the opportunity to ask questions to one of our South Zone Trustees, in addition to approving this year’s expenditure plan. Please find the minutes HERE and the attached budget expenditure plan HERE and the forecasted budget amounts HERE.

HOT LUNCH

The next two upcoming hot lunches are scheduled for November 26 (orders due November 19) and December 10 (orders due December 5).

HOLIDAY ART CARDS

Ordering is now open for Holiday Art Cards. The Art Cards are pieces of artwork! Each child in the school creates a piece of artwork which is then photographed and glued onto white cardstock to create a beautiful and unique card. Cards (including envelopes) come in bundles of 6. You can order your own child’s art and/or a mixed bundle of artwork from various classes.

SURVEYS

1. SD63 is hoping all families can find a few minutes to share their input and ideas on the upcoming 2022-2027 Strategic Plan. The survey closes on Wednesday November 10. The survey link can be found here: STRATEGIC PLAN 2022/2027 – CONSULTATION SURVEY

2. The Ministry of Education is asking for feedback on the proposed new K-12 Student Reporting Policy. Any feedback you can share will be used to help refine and improve the current draft. This survey ends this month with the updated release in January 2022. The survey link can be found here: K-12 Student Reporting (gov.bc.ca)

THANK YOU!!

Thank you to the parent volunteers who were able to help serve hot cholate and snacks to the children during their Goldstream Field trip. A special thank you to Shaun Erdei from Royal Oak Country Grocer for donating the delicious snacks, and to Mark and Lisa Jones from Tim Horton’s for helping us provide a warm drink to everyone.
