OUR FIRST HOT LUNCH -order by MONDAY Oct 11 PAC Hot lunch is optional but a fun treat for the kids; as it’s our first one on Oct 15, we want to make sure everyone is aware. If it is a financial barrier, please go ahead and order and contact Ms. Ko or classroom teacher. If you choose not to order that’s no problem, please let your child know on Friday so they are not expecting a delivered lunch on Friday Oct 15.
Parking Lot Reminders: Thank you for the continued patience and care in the parking lot as it can be busy and congested at peak times. Please use the crosswalks and park in designated spots. The round-about area is for staff parking and ask that general traffic not enter at 8:20-8:50 and 2:30-3:00 unless for handicap parking. Thanks for keeping the handicap park stalls accessible for parking. Thanks for entering at the Entrance driveway and attend to the NO LEFT turn sign.
Here are some alternatives to the limited parking spaces:
BEFORE SCHOOL
Drop off lane: Pull up to the crosswalk before students exits, have student on passenger side to exit, and quick exit to keep traffic flowing. We will have our fabulous staff and supervisors to help you out. Kindie /Grade 1 Walkers will begin next Wednesday Sept 22. If you wish to use the drop off lane for younger students, we will grade 4/5 students available to escort them to the supervised playground before 8:35 or their line up at 8:35. If students arrive after 8:40, they can enter at the front of the school and check in at the office.
AFTER SCHOOL As we have limited parking spots, some alternatives include parking/waiting at Whitehead park and using the Pick up lane in the afternoon.
Pick up lane: Arrange for your child to go to the covered area for pick up. Arrive after dismissal 2:50-3:00 pull up in the drop off lane and pick up at the covered area. If your child isn’t there yet, you may be asked to do a loop around. Let your classroom teacher know this is the plan so they can send your child there.
Supervision in the playground is until 3:00 and often parking spots become available shortly after the dismissal bell. We have supervision on the playground and covered area until to 3:00 to help with pick up times.
