SCHOOL NEWS...
Lunch monitors and PAWS squad: On behalf of the staff and students we would like to thank our student volunteers who were Lunch Monitors/ PAWS squad in Term One. Many of them set goals to demonstrate strong leadership qualities such as act responsibly, be a positive role model, be helpful and be fun. We will have a pizza lunch for these student leaders from Term one on Thursday January 9. We welcome our new and returning student leaders for Term 2.
Kindergarten
Information Evening: Wednesday, January 22, 2020, 7:00
- 8:30 pm at Keating Elementary, 6843 Central Saanich Rd, Victoria.
Children born in 2015 are eligible to register for Kindergarten at
your neighbourhood school.
Kindergarten Registration: January 27-31, 2020 from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm at Prospect Lake Elementary. Children born in 2015 are eligible to register for Kindergarten at your neighbourhood school. Please refer to the District website for the registration process and required documentation.
Rescheduling
of the November 22, 2019 Non-Instructional Day: The
Saanich School Board has approved the school calendar be amended to
reschedule the postponed non-instructional day of November 22, 2019
to June
5, 2020.
Wet Weather Preparedness: A reminder to parents/guardians to have their children dressed appropriately to go outside as most days children will go outdoors for their breaks. Rubber boots, waterproof jackets and rain pants are suggested especially if your child likes to play in/near the puddles! A full change of clothes in their backpacks is also helpful should they need to change.
