March PAC meeting

Please join us for the March PAC meeting. We will give you the latest update about digital safety and the use of devices in the classrooms. Our treasurer Sam Beecher, a clinician at the Saanich child and youth mental health services, will provide us with more information on the impact of increased screen use on mental health.

Other topics we will discuss are spring fair, staff appreciation lunch, earthquake preparedness and May election. Mrs Ko will give her monthly principle’s report and will try to answer all your questions. Click here for the meeting agenda.

There will be tea and treats. Door is open at 6.45 pm. If you need child minding, please let us know.

Spring hanging baskets

You can now order your Spring Hanging Baskets and Planters for Mother’s Day. Look for the order form in your child’s backpack and go online to pleshotlunches.net to submit your order. If you prefer paper order, please put the form with the money or cheque (payable to PLES PAC) in a sealed envelope or ziplock bag the pink PAC box in your child’s classroom. Questions? Used Book sale

The library is collecting gently used children’s books for the Spring Used Book Sale on Tuesday April 24th. If you wish to donate any used children's books, please drop them off in the box outside the library or give to Mrs. Bourdon or Ms. Gaudet. This will be a fundraiser for our School Library that the children will help organize. We thank you for your support!

Community Events

World Cup Soccer

Would you like to help us to win $1,000 for our school? World Cups Youth Soccer Festival is holding a contest and will award the school with the most registered players $1,000.00 (awarded to the PAC to spend how they see fit). This is a fun two day soccer event taking place on March 30 and 31. Kids represent different world cup nations in small sided games. For more information about the festival take a look at www.worldcups.ca. Registration closes March 26th.
