'A MUSICAL'
We have been working on a major Musical production entitled RATS for the last two months. A tremendous amount of time and effort has gone into this endeavour and it has been a wonderful experience for all of the children in our school. I would like to thank our staff and the many parents who are working so hard to make this show possible and a special thank you to Mrs. Hamilton who is coordinating this complex event.
We realize how important attending a performance is for parents, family and friends. However, we are concerned that we will not be able to safely accommodate all of those who wish to attend the evening performance! Therefore, there will be a limit of two tickets per family for the evening performance. Fire regulations place a limit on the number of people we can have in the gym at any given time. Students and staff alone number well over two hundred and we estimate that two tickets per family will produce an audience of close to three hundred. This brings the total number of people in the gym to between five and six hundred. Therefore, we ask families to consider attending either the open dress rehearsal that will take place at 1:00 on Tuesday, March 8 or the afternoon performance that will take place on Thursday, March 10 at 1:00.
To allow us to prepare for these performances we ask all families to indicate on the form that was sent home with students today (copy is also attached to this post), which performance they will be attending, and to return this form to their child's teacher as soon as possible, but no later than Friday, March 4th.
