Why:
Division 3 has been busy studying communities around the world and learning what life in general or school in particular would be like for elementary school children in another country. Recently, author Eric Walters, came to visit us and gave a very informative and entertaining presentation not only on writing books but on his charity work in small communities in Kenya. He works to help students be able to attend school and obtain basic necessities in this impoverished country. Our class was most fascinated by his work and these children's lives. We decided we would like to hold a small bake sale to raise money to support his charity - Creation of Hope. 100% of all money goes directly to the children.
