In anticipation of construction, loss of road parking, and additional congestion in the near future, we are preparing options for families to assist with drop-off and pick-up at peak times.  There are still some unknowns on the immediate impact on the school, however, we are planning to start with the shuttle option next week and it will continue to run until the end of construction.

There are two options, a shuttle from the community hall and no registration is needed.  The other is using our regular school bus on an existing route and registration is required by February 25th.  If you choose to use the school bus option this school year, we need registration information to plan for ridership demands. Please see more detailed information below.

SHUTTLE   -  No registration necessary

We are offering a shuttle between the school and Prospect Lake Hall.  We will start next week February 21 with the following tentative times.  We will work out all the kinks this week and adjust the times if needed.

SCHOOL BUS  -  Registration Required

If you prefer your child to use the school bus on an existing route YOU MUST REGISTER BY FEBRUARY 25 by contacting the transportation department:  transportation@saanichschools.ca

 Include the following information:-

  1. Student name
  2. Address
  3. School: Prospect Lake Elementary School
  4. Grade
  5. Pupil number
  6. Bus route: if known
  7. K to 3 Permission to walk home: YES OR NO

Once transportation gets this information, they will contact parents regarding availability, stops, times and bus passes.
