March PAC Meeting
Thank you to all the parents that joined us for a special PAC Meeting. Dr. Mark Sherman had an interesting talk/workshop about Mindful Parenting. If you missed the meeting, but want to read what we discussed, here is a link to the minutes.
Family BBQ and Market
Our Spring Family BBQ and Market is fast approaching. You can go online now and order a table for $ 25.00. The deadline to order a table is April 30th. You can either do a garage sale, sell your delicious baking, jams, or your beautiful crafts etc. The market and BBQ will be at the school playground and field on Saturday, May 4th from 11:00-2:00. Go to ples.hotlunches.net to order your table.
Kids can use blankets to present their items for sale. We will have a BBQ concession, so bring your picnic blanket or chairs to have a family picnic lunch. At the same event we will auction off a reserved parking spot, for the next school year 2019/20.
Outdoor Learning Project
On Tuesday, April 2nd, at 3:00 pm there will be a meeting in the library with the teachers and a Wild BC facilitator to finalize teams to work on projects. If you are interested in participating, please join us. Rebecca has a list of four projects in which we will need volunteers. The projects include: painted games on picnic tables; a wooden sorting box; wooden sorting poles and a musical wall.
Spring flowers/Mother’s Day hanging baskets
Want to get the garden ready for the summer, or surprise your wife, mother (in law) with a nice hanging basket? You can now order your spring flowers online. Go to https://prospectlakeelementary.growingsmilesfundraising.com/home to order your herbs, veggie plants or flowers. The order deadline is April 28. Flowers will be ready for pick up on Wednesday May 8th.
Purdy’s Chocolate Easter Fundraiser
This is the last call to order Easter Purdy’s chocolates. This is a great fundraiser for our school. You’ll pay the same price for your online order of Easter chocolates as you would in the store. But this time Purdy’s will give 25% of all the proceeds back to the school. All funds raised go directly to our children. You can invite family members, friends and co-workers to place their orders through us too!

Hot Lunch
The order deadline for our next hot lunch is Wednesday, April 10th. Don’t miss out on Adriana’s Mexican food and sushi! We encourage everyone to log on to PLES.hotlunches.net before this date to double check that their order is in fact complete. We’ve had a few cases of students coming to school expecting lunch only to find that no order was placed.
