Halloween Dinner and Dance
We are only one week away from our school’s Halloween dinner and dance on Friday, October 26th from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm. This is the time to start thinking about some Halloween baking you can donate (you can drop off your baking in the gym on Friday until 3pm) or a volunteer job you are able to take on. We are still in need of volunteers so if you haven’t signed up yet, please do so asap by visiting the link HERE. We really appreciate your help!
Donate your Halloween costumes
Next year we would like to organize a Halloween costume sale at the school. If you have any gently used costumes to donate we will have a box at the school sometime after Halloween.
Scrap Metal Drive
Don’t throw away your old metal yet. There will be a scrap metal drive at the school this fall, so save up your metal to donate to the school. We will collect all metal, small and large (aluminum, brass, bicycle frames, door fittings, copper pipes, stainless steel) and will even arrange for a pick up if you won’t be able to bring it to the school. More info and collecting day will soon follow.
Hot Lunch
Please note that the deadline for the next hot lunch (booster juice and sushi on November 2nd) is midnight on October 22nd. Parents can order at PLES.hotlunches.net. While you`re logged on you can also sign up for the third hot lunch, as well order your red barn cards.
Red Barn
Order your cards for November now. We offer these Barn Bucks for sale each month and Red Barn gives the school 10 percent back. You can purchase them here: ples.hotlunches.net/
QSP Magazine Fundraiser
Although you can order online year round, November 7th is the deadline that kids can earn some really fabulous prizes and you can pay by cash or cheque. It’s also the perfect time to order those holiday gifts if you want them to arrive in time. This is a great opportunity to encourage home reading with topics available to suit every interest for all ages. If you’d like to share the online catalogue with friends and family please go to www.qsp.ca where you can email them a link or pick up another flyer in front of the office. Even if you’re only renewing a subscription, you’ll get discounted prices plus our school will receive about $10 for each subscription - a huge benefit to all of our students!
