Hello Prospect Lake families,
Your PAC (Parent Advisory Council) would like to thank you for your great support for our school this year. As a PAC, our role is to support the staff at Prospect Lake to enrich our children’s educational and social experiences at elementary school.
With your support the PAC used $19,500 to fund the following:
· Classroom funds ($20 per child)
· Two artists in residence
· Science Venture workshops in each class
· Multiple field trips (Goldstream, skating, beach)
· Gingerbread houses
· Chrome books
· Reflex math online learning program
· Inside toys for rainy days
· Playground equipment
· Tumble books subscription
· Wireless microphone
· Binoculars
· Indigenous day workshops
· Wild day workshops
· Chinese New Year celebration
· Teachers Appreciation lunch
· Carpet for multi purpose room
· Grade 5 Grad celebration
· PAC coffee mornings
We allocated $5000 dollars to expand our nature playground and garden.
Our fundraisers raised $20,000:
· Spring fair: $7,500
· Art cards: $3,200
· Basket raffle: $2,100
· Purdy’s: $1,350
· Hot Lunch: $1,600
· Popcorn: $1,100
· Halloween dance: $850
· Spring flowers: $800
· Red Barn Cards: $900
· Magazines: $650
· Hockey pool: $250
Over the summer please continue to help support our students by:
· Collecting your Country Grocer receipts
· Mention Prospect Lake at Cobs bread (Royal Oak location)
· Shop at Peninsula Coop or buy gas at Save on Gas, and quote membership #79184.
