Volunteering for Spring Fair
Prospect Lake Elementary School's Spring Fair is coming up on Friday, May 26th. We need a lot of volunteers to pull off a great night for our families. Volunteering is fun. Commitments are for an hour, even when you volunteer you still get to enjoy everything the night offers. Have older kids? We encourage them to sign up to help as well. All volunteer opportunities include a volunteer leader who will help you know what to do.

We're excited to announce that our school is now offering online ordering for hot lunches and other fundraisers including payment by PayPal/Credit card! It is our hope that this will make things much easier for parents and volunteers alike and cut down on paper too. While it may take a few minutes to set up in the beginning, we think it will be well worth the effort. For those who still prefer paper copies we will make sure there are some available at the school office.
Currently, on the ordering site are Art Card and Red Barn card ordering.
Getting Started:
✓ Go to ples.hotlunches.net (there are links form the PAC Page)
✓ Click on "Click Here to Register"
✓ Enter Access Code PLHL
✓ Complete the rest of the registration form. (Including your email address will ensure you receive reminder emails about order deadlines)
✓ Click the "Register Now" button at the bottom
✓ Follow the instructions to add each child in your family who attends Prospect Lake Elementary.
✓ Once your child(ren) are registered, click on "Orders"
✓ Proceed to order for your child(ren)

PayPal:
You can either pay with a credit card as a PayPal guest (Visa, Mastercard or Amex), or set up your own PayPal account.
Cash and Cheques will still be accepted in the pink PAC box in your child's classroom. Simply attach it to the paper order form or order online and press "print remittance form". Attach payment to this form.
Please note: there is a $0.30 user fee for each transaction. Planning ahead, by making multiple orders and for all your children at once, will cut down on costs.
Spring Fair Toy Donations Needed
Thanks to all who have dropped off toys for our spring fair toy sale so far. If you have any unwanted items in good shape at home please bring them in - this is a great way to clear out some space! We are accepting toys, games, puzzles, books, clean stuffed animals, age appropriate video games and movies, and knickknacks too. Please leave them in the kitchen outside the multi-purpose room. Your contributions are much appreciated.
PAC Executive Nominations for the 2016/2017 School Year are now open!
Elections will be held at the PAC Annual General Meeting on Monday, May 15th at 7:00 PM in the school library. You must attend in person to vote (no proxy voting) and nominations may be received at the meeting. Voting will be by secret ballot.
If you are interested in running for a position, wish to nominate someone (please get their permission first ) or have any questions, please contact the Chair of the Nominating Committee, Kevin Alexander at prospectlakepac@sd63.bc.ca or phone at 778-679-0277.
All positions are open for new candidates each year. Descriptions of each position are in the PAC Constitution found here.
It's very important that we get new parents to carry on in the PAC Executive roles. Some positions require more involvement and time than others, but most require just a couple of hours a month, and can be job-shared. Grab a friends and come out. Help your school and your children and meet new people and connect with the school community at our great little school..
Art Cards
We are doing another run of Art Cards for mother’s day. Your kids are making art, and you can order cards online at ples.hotlunches.net.
Red Barn Cards
Buy some groceries and raise some money for the school. Order Red Barn cards to pay for groceries and a percentage gets paid to the school. You can order cards at ples.hotlunches.net.
