 Family Halloween Dinner & Dance!

Friday, October 28- 5:30 – 8:00 PM

What: DJ Dandy (Kayden’s Dad) and DJ Dutch (Jan’s Dad) have got your tunes ready, the delicious concession is prepped, bakers are creating festive treats and the decorations will be magical. Come join in with your school community, let’s celebrate together J

Who: Everyone in our school community. We want to get to know each other and build community for our children. Parents must stay and supervise their children at this family event.

Where: The admission desk will be at the entrance near the gym and will receive donations for the nature playground and sell glow sticks.  Dance floor (including limbo stick, breakdance mat, shadow frames) and tables for visiting will be in the gym. The concession for pizza dinner, snacks, drinks and the amazing Bake Sale will be in the Multipurpose Room.  Washrooms are in the foyer of the gym. The playground and outside areas will be off limits!

How can I help?

Please remind your kids that there is no running or playing tag at the danceJ Let’s keep everyone safe.  We will need volunteers for decorating on Friday after 1pm, stop by the gym if you can lend a hand. We’ll also need help cleaning up afterwards too and appreciate anyone who can pitch in. If you can, please bring your carved pumpkins (or empty 4 litre milk jugs) to the gym anytime on Friday after 1pm. Remember to take them home afterwards. If you can bake, please drop off your contribution in the Multipurpose Room in a labelled dish. No nuts please!

Remember:

  • Admission is by donation for the new expansion of our Nature Playground.
  • Costumes are encouraged but please, no scary, gory or clown costumes. No weapons.
  • Students have submitted song requests for the DJs to work with. There will be some parent music too!
  • Bring a flashlight for parking. Carpool if you can and use great caution around the school.
  • Cash or cheque only to purchase glow sticks, concession or bake sale items. You will need to purchase tickets at the event to use for the concession etc.
  • Let’s be green. Make sure you use the recycling bins in the gym and follow the instructions on the signs. We will compost our food scraps, paper plates etc. Zero waste is our goal.
  • Thanks to all who have volunteered to decorate, clean up, bake and more!
