School News

Popcorn Day: This Friday, February 5 will be Popcorn Day. We still need a few volunteers to keep this fun program running. This is a 2 to 3 hour volunteer commitment once a month. Please contact us if you are able to help out.

Spring Musical: A number of props are still needed for the spring musical. Please visit our online list here: http://flask.io/j5vR9 . Remember to only click on the items that you are 100% sure you can bring in as we have no way of following up, or reminding you. Also, be sure to click on the Save List button after making your selection. The drop off box is at the Multipurpose room. Make sure you label your item if you need it back after the show.

Neon Spring Blast: Huge thanks go to those of you who have already volunteered to be coordinators of specific activities during this important fundraiser. We still need volunteers to help plan and run our concession. If you are keen to work as a member of a team of food loving parents this is the position for you.

We also need volunteers to help set up and run our silent auction at the Spring Blast. Donations of items will come from our community of families and we need a team of dynamic family members willing to set up the items at the event.

Please email the PAC at prospectlakepac@sd63.bc.ca to volunteer for either of these positions. The plan is to have enough parents volunteer so the work shifts will be short and everyone will get plenty of time to enjoy the fun.

Change of Clothes: During these wet and soggy days you may want to send a change of clothes to school for your child to change into, if needed. Even during sunny breaks, the playground is typically still quite muddy and wet and you know how much our kids love to jump over those puddles.

Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils of Saanich (COPACS) meets the first Thursday of the month -- 7 pm at the Saanich Education Centre behind the portables at Keating Elementary. Meetings are open to all parents in the district and are a great way to find out what is happening in the district and beyond and to connect with other PAC executive across the district.
