Now until Saturday, October 10: Adopt a School campaign at Chapters and Coles Vote to Adopt our school every day!: Help our school win $10,000 for our library. Go to https://goo.gl/78pXlF, sign up for a Free account or sign in with your Facebook account and click on Adopt! No purchase or donation is required. Share the link with all your friends and family. The school with the most “adopts” will win $10,000 worth of books. That’s 10 times the school’s annual library budget.


Wed/Thurs, October 7 & 8: Early dismissal at 1:48. Please make sure you have arranged childcare if needed. Buses will be available at the earlier time and on regular routes.


Friday, October 23: Halloween Dance Committee needs members: Join a fun bunch of adults to plan and run our annual Halloween Dance. We need people to help with decorations, greeters, bakers, a DJ in training and more. New families especially welcome. Interested? Thanks to all who attended our September PAC meeting – We had a record breaking attendance! It's a great school community we are building here at PLES! Matt Levere won the PAC's "Back to School" Basket at Open House and David van Zandwijk won the "Organic Fruits and Veggie" basket at the first PAC meeting. Congratulations to these two lucky Dads!

PAC Meeting Minutes are now posted on the PAC website here: http://goo.gl/cJZ9b7 Highlights from the meeting…we approved $1500 for all classes to take part in educational programs at the Royal BC Museum. Sat Oct 3rd 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM: Esquimalt Children's Story Fest: There will be readings from children’s authors and storytellers, crafts, and contests. Every child will receive a free book and there’s a free children's lunch. This is the perfect day for children to explore the magic of books and help families inspire a lifelong love of reading.
